About The Antigua Squadron
Founded in August 2025 by Admiral Lyrinx (also known as Commodore Lyrinx on YouTube), the Antigua Squadron is a player‑led, non‑profit gaming unit preparing for the naval MMO Ahoy. Guided by the motto "Navigamus et Vincimus — We sail and we conquer," we combine a disciplined, professional approach with a friendly, inclusive community for players who value strategic teamwork and steady improvement. Commodore Lyrinx has followed Ahoy closely for nearly two years and brings community moderation experience and a commitment to building a well‑organized crew.
Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where serious‑fun gameplay and teamwork come first. We envision a successful, approachable squadron within Ahoy that trains together, competes with purpose, and supports its members. Core values include Teamwork, Inclusivity, Dedication, and a Serious‑Fun attitude—qualities that shape our training, events, and day‑to‑day conduct.
Membership is open to applicants aged 16 and over across all timezones; recruits should plan to own a legal copy of Ahoy when the game launches. The onboarding process runs via our recruitment channel on Discord: submit your application, complete a brief interview, and proceed through a 2–4 week probationary/trial period. Our rank structure begins with Admiral at the top and progresses through Vice Admiral, Rear Admiral, Commodore, Post Captain, First/Second/Third Lieutenant, Midshipman, Master, and Able Seaman.
We run weekly activities—including practice drills, community hangouts, and training sessions—to prepare members for coordinated operations and competitive play.
